The pro-police movement Rally For Law Enforcement is offering up a solution to protect schools and students from becoming the latest target of a mass shooting by allowing armed volunteers to patrol the school grounds while classes are in session.“The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. The left’s plan of gun free zones hasn’t worked. We have veterans, retired law enforcement and responsible citizens in our ranks that carry a firearm and they could be used to protect the schools and the students. This would be strictly on a volunteer basis but it does help solve the issue of protecting the schools and keeping the student’s safe,” said Rally For Law Enforcement’s founder Nohl Rosen.Rosen said it takes 5 minutes or longer for the police to respond to an active shooting scene and that an armed volunteer patrolling the school or a teacher that’s armed could respond in seconds to take down a shooter.“Many teachers carry firearms and have training using them and so do many of our members. The left has made this about blaming the guns rather than putting the blame on the person that uses the tool do harm. Firearms can save lives but they’re only focused on the minority that uses them to take lives purposely. More people have been killed by those using knives, driving cars, taking drugs and smoking cigarettes than they have with firearms. This isn’t a gun issue, it’s about what’s going on in the person’s heart and mind. Evil is evil and a person can kill just as easily using a car than they can using a firearm. Banning a certain firearm to try and solve the issue won’t accomplish anything and only punishes those who do use it responsibly,” Rosen added.
It what is starting to become a heated race for Sheriff in Maricopa County to challenge current incumbent Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Rally For L.E.’s founder Nohl Rosen says he’s endorsing Marsha Hill and encouraging others to support her as well. Once a commander in the MCSO’s animal posse, Hill is running as a Republican in the primary which takes place August 30th.
“We need a Sheriff that will not only uphold the United States Constitution while in office but we also need someone that will be accountable to the people. I believe Marsha Hill is the right person for the job to be our Sheriff and will bring integrity and accountability to the office,” Rosen said.
Hill is a member of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association and has worked as an image consultant for such companies like 3M, PanAm, Siemens, Hilton Hotels and Marriott. She’s also the founder of the Alliance for Arizona Animal Protection which got started as a part of the animal portion of the posse and still exists helping animals throughout Arizona.
Rosen says that Hill’s stance on such things as illegal immigration, supporting the Second Amendment and her stand against Black Lives Matter and other anti-police groups is what convinced him to support her.
“Marsha is definitely against illegal immigration and believes in a citizen’s right to keep and bear arms. She also supports Rally For L.E. and what we do in defending the the thin blue line. She also isn’t afraid to call Black Lives Matter a terrorist organization and believes in standing in strong support of law enforcement. I believe she will also work very hard to make sure the community is kept safe and also stand up to the overreach of the federal government,” Rosen added.
Hill has stated that she does support Donald Trump in his run for President and also Dr. Kelli Ward for United States Senate. For more about her run for sheriff visit her web site at www.marshahillforsheriff2016.com.
One bill making it’s way through the Arizona State Legislature could help law enforcement better deal with those anti-cop individuals that use their smart phone cameras and other video recording devices to antagonize police officers and interfere with them doing their duty. Sponsored and drafted by Arizona Senator John Kavanagh the bill called SB 1054 would make it illegal to video record a police officer within 20 feet or less while they’re in the process of doing their duty. Part of it reads:
“It is unlawful for a person to knowingly make a video recording of law enforcement activity, including the handling of an emotionally disturbed person, if the person making the video recording does not have the permission of a law enforcement officer and is within twenty feet of where the law enforcement activity is occurring.”
While bill’s opponents are trying to claim that this bill is unconstitutional, Rally For L.E.’s leader Nohl Rosen is speaking out in support of the bill and says it doesn’t violate the United States Constitution in his eyes and that it’s a positive first start in protecting our law enforcement from those that use cameras to try and attack police officers publicly.
“We need to do what we can to support our local police and protect them from these anti-cop terrorists which will use their smart phone and tablet cameras to try and antagonize police officers in order to make a name for themselves on social media. Often times they will interfere with police officers while they’re detaining or arresting a suspect and get way to close to them in order to add fuel to the fire. The last thing a police officer needs is some citizen that doesn’t like law enforcement sticking a camera in their face while they’re in the process of doing their duty,” Rosen said.
Rosen added that this bill may not be perfect but it’s a positive first step in supporting law enforcement and hopes more supporters of the police will get behind it. He also encourages the public to read the bill and make their own decision on whether or not they should support it.
